The Hunter Express
https://thehunterexpress.bandcamp.com/album/the-hunter-express
The Hunter Express' debut self titled album was self produced at Newmarket Studios and engineered by Callum Barter. Recorded to tape the album beautifully captures the artwork of songwriter Brad Ellis. The album boasts a huge ensemble of guest instrumentalists, including Jarrad Brown (Dorsal Fins), Olaf Scott (Saskwatch), Fraser A. Gorman and Matt Dixon, which creates a diverse sound across every track. From the opening verse of ‘Are You Ready Now’, it’s hard not to make comparisons to Australian legends like Paul Kelly or The Whitlams. The spoken-word structure is carried along by percussion, piano and acoustic guitar, building towards a blissful male-female dynamic.

The Mikado
https://gsov.org.au/shop/dvds/the-mikado-2018/
GSOV proudly presents a vibrant and colourful new staging which creatively intertwines Gilbert’s imagined Japan with a respectful nod to the country’s traditional culture. An enduringly popular operetta, its sly topsy-turvy tale and self-deprecating humour satirises the established social norms of etiquette and bureaucracy in Victorian England.
Director: Andrew McGrail
Musical Director: Timothy John Wilson
Starring: Cameron Sibly, Luke Belle, Jordan Kahler and Sofia Laursen Habel
